Height, width and depth
The height of server racks and patch racks are indicated in units, basically the same ones used on 19 inch devices. This way you can quickly and easily calculate how many units  (U)  you will need.
All free-standing  server  racks  and patch racks come with a 10 inch profile for easy  installation of 19 inch equipment. The racks are available in 600 mm wide and in 800 mm wide variants. 
The difference between the 60cm and 80cm width is that the 80 cm wide variant has extra space on the left and right side, next to the 19 inch profiles which makes it easier to place equipment in the rack. The 80 cm wide version is also equipped with a vertical cable entry. This way, any cabling such as UTP cables is always laid neatly and professionally concealed.
The depth dimensions of a server rack or patch rack always represent the outer dimensions. Please note that the inside dimensions differ by approx. 4 cm on the front and back side. In addition, sufficient space must always be provided for good air circulation and for any cables and connector pieces.
Glass door or rather perforated?
When appliances emit a lot of heat, a rack with a perforated door is better suited than a rack with a glass door. A perforated door ensures rapid heat dissipation, reducing the risk of overheating.
If your device emits only little heat, a glass door is the better option. A rack with a glass door is also less prone to dust inside the cupboard. Additionally, server racks and patch racks with glass doors reduce noise pollution.
Standard lockable server cabinet
Companies often work with sensitive information. Security of your network and network components is therefore a very important issue, as it forms the heart of your organisation. For this reason, our server cabinets are equipped with lockable doors on the front, back and both sides. Due to the server cabinet locks the equipment in the lockable server rack is not accessible to everyone and you can decide who you grant access to work on your network. To safely store e.g. paper documents or manuals of network devices in your 19 inch locking rack cabinet, we also offer lockable drawers which can be mounted in the 19 inch profile.
